COFFEE ACCOMPANIMENTS – LE CREUSET

Le Creuset — a French brand of cookware — is known for its durable, cast iron pots and pans that are said to last forever.  In fact, my mom has some from her mother, still kicking and in beautiful shape after years of use.  I, being not-so-great in the kitchen, haven’t taken the plunge into buying Le Creuset because, well, it probably won’t get much use.  But, a teakettle?  That I need, and when I saw one in this gorgeous “Fennel” color, I just had to.

Thankfully, matching stoneware coffee mugs were on sale at Sur le Table, so I bought two of those as well.  The coffee mugs are just wonderful — they are thick and really insulate the coffee, so it stays warm much longer.  Waking up and making my coffee with these beautiful, shiny green items makes me that much more excited for my morning ritual.

Le Creuset is expensive.  But it is definitely an investment, as these pieces should last you a very long time, if not forever!  Also, I see a lot of Le Creuset on sale quite often, so shop around and you may just find a bargain.
